The Caspian Engineers Society holds its second engineering camp project. Summer Engineering Camp is following with Winter Engineering Camp. Application is already started and ends 15th January 2010. Hurry Up!

The CES Winter Engineering Camp for University Students aims following:

  • Integrate academic knowledge of students with real industry life.
  • Raise knowledge and improve skills of the modern technology implementations, interdisciplinary working, project management and safety in industry.
  • Propose a way on career opportunities to allow participants to be able to choose a clear destination.
  • Develop problem solving, time management, group leading and working under pressure skills.
  • Based on real projects experience a practice on team work.
  • Arrange meetings of students with professional engineers to share knowledge and experience.
  • Develop bright and socially active young potential leaders on their way.
  • Provide a real engineering feeling based on case studies.

Camp will be organised for up to 24 selected students from various universities like Qafqaz University, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Khazar University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, Baku State University and other approved technical universities.

The selection process is based on technical knowledge and interview. The project is planned to last seven days in a residential base for both male and female students in Qafqaz University. Among various daily activities and interesting program content, visits to different industries, industrial live plants is also planned. Case studies and their evaluation, engineering based movies, management or coaching type exercises is within the scope of the program. End of each day will be followed by interesting program, like interactive games, sight seen visits or business lunch.  

Application is already started and ends 15th January whereas the program will be held between 01-06 February. You will be notified by 15th January if you are accepted to participate in the exam. Make sure that you provide a valid e-mail address. 

There will be only 35 AZN program participation fee. Application and exam participation is not subject to any fee requirement. The fee is only applicable to the students who have been successfully selected and they accept their participation in the program. There is no fee requirement for accommodation and daily meals. There will be one CES and one Qafqaz University representative all the time may you require any help. 

Following is a brief timetable of the program:

15th January – Application deadline
16th January – Written exam day at 10 o’clock
17th January – Interview day 10 o’clock
18th January – Selection results will be published
31st January – winter Engineering Camp program opening ceremony
6th February – Winter Engineering Camp program closing ceremony

Note:

Except students who are studying at first year, the rest university student's application will be accepted including master and PhD students. Student's application who are working and studying at the same time will be rejected.
