CES Online News Sharing Project

The purpose of the project is to inform all engineers and engineering students about the global engineering news. This project will help engineers and engineering students to be well informed on the latest engineering news and make comments on them. Junior engineers will be able to see outcomes, advantages and disadvantages of different engineering achievements. This project will combine news about all engineering branches and provide online discussion between the readers.

SCIENCE & ENGINEERING “GREAT IDEAS” COMPETITION

Caspian Engineers Society aims to organise SCIENCE & ENGINEERING “GREAT IDEAS” COMPETITION. One of the main purposes of the competition is to support education, engineering, science and technology in the region. The SEGIC is a great chance for students, young scientists and engineers to share knowledge about modern technologies, science research areas, industry applications and other related subjects. The projects should cover modern science and engineering ideas based on investigation or practical work experience. The formal language for projects is Azerbaijani, English and Russian.

Engineers Came Together Again Under CES Umbrella

Caspian Engineers Society held next “Discussion Club” at 21st of May 2010 in Baku. More than thirty professional and young engineers come together around a round table in order to discuss the works that has been done so far, organization’s planned projects and future operational needs. CES presented the projects that was held in 2009, the activities and communications it had during the year and successes achieved.

Winter Camp - Closing Ceremony

CES held Annual Review and Winter Camp Closing Ceremony in Hyatt Regency 13th February 2010. CES started ceremony with presentation about the aim and strategy of the organization, projects that is ongoing and also announce upcoming CES projects. Technical seminars, excursions, summer & winter engineering schools, MAYAK, technical support activities, in depended educational assessments and discussion club projects were covered during brief presentation.

The Caspian Engineers Society holds its second engineering camp project. Summer Engineering Camp is following with Winter Engineering Camp. Application is already started and ends 15^th January 2010. Hurry Up!

The CES Winter Engineering Camp for University Students aims following:

Integrate academic knowledge of students with real industry life.
Raise knowledge and improve skills of the modern technology implementations, interdisciplinary working, project management and safety in industry.
Propose a way on career opportunities to allow participants to be able to choose a clear destination.
Develop problem solving, time management, group leading and working under pressure skills.
Based on real projects experience a practice on team work.
Arrange meetings of students with professional engineers to share knowledge and experience.
Develop bright and socially active young potential leaders on their way.
Provide a real engineering feeling based on case studies.

Camp will be organised for up to 24 selected students from various universities like Qafqaz University, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Khazar University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, Baku State University and other approved technical universities.
