Anar Alimov, Microsoft Corporation Software Development Engineer has given presentation on “Career opportunities for software engineers outside Azerbaijan” in Khazar University conference room under CES Seminars program. Approximately 30 computer engineering students and junior engineers were attended in this seminar.

Dr. Vusal Shafiyev is working for BP as a process engineer. He is responsible for engineering support for BTC (Baku Tbilisi Ceyhan ), SCP (South Caucasian Pipeline) gas pipeline, and WREP (Western Route Export Pipeline) through Azerbaijan and Georgia. 

On the 24th of October, CES organised its first seminar of academic year 2009-10. The topic was `Reliability Engineering and Statistical Distributions` and it was presented by Shahin Teymurkhanli. Shahin has been graduated from Bogazici University as an Industrial Engineer. He has been working in BP as Maintenance Engineer since 2004. Currently he is continuing his master degree on `Maintenance Engineering and Asset Management` program at University of Manchester.
The CES seminar series continued with the subject of “Material Selection and Corrosion Management” on 18th of April in Qafqaz University. Materials & Corrosion issues play a key role in Integrity Management of industrial assets. The seminar was run by Dr. Rufat Azizov, BP Corrosion Engineer.
