IJSO seminar

Caspian Young Engineers Society (CYES) presented “Be Engineer” philosophy in front of the 6th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) participants on 5th December 2009 at Crescent Beach hotel.The aim of the presentation was to give awareness about engineering and its various disciplines so that audience has an appreciation of what the engineering is, who could be an engineer and why they should chose engineering in their future career. The event lasted approximately two hour. There were more than 300 talented students auditory. The presenters were CYES members who graduated from world wide recognized international universities, actively working in engineering proficiency.

Summer Engineering Camp Selection Results

Summer Engineering Camp selections was organised on 6th of June in Qafqaz University.

As it is first summer engineering school unexpected high number of students interested on this event. 175 students from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Azerbaijan Technical University, Qafqaz University, Khazar University, Middle East Technical University, Norway Technical National University (NTNU), Baku State University, Sumgayit State University, Azerbaijan Architectural and Design University applied for participation in camp.

After review of applications 110 candidates were invited to final exams.

What is the robot?

A robot is a mechanical or virtual artificial agent. In practice, it is usually an electro-mechanical system which, by its appearance or movements, conveys a sense that it has intent or agency of its own. Modern world is trying to adapt robots to all parts of their life to make life easy, to increase efficiency of the work and reduce the expenses.

Why we want to bring the robot competition to Azerbaijan?

100 Engineering Questions Book

This book will include 100 questions and answers and aims a wide audience.

Summer and Winter Schools

This program is considered for high school students. The aim is to increase the interest of students to technical science and engineering, assist them to define their future educational need, how the studies in university relates with actual work environment.
